This short film examines Kazakhstan’s state policy on interethnic harmony, strengthening social unity, developing interfaith dialogue and contributing to international security. It explores Kazakhstan’s role in strengthening peace and mutual understanding both domestically and internationally. The film presents the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan as a distinctive institution supporting interethnic harmony and social stability. It covers the main areas of state policy on freedom of religion and interreligious dialogue, the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana, and Kazakhstan’s participation in international negotiations and peacekeeping initiatives. Particular attention is given to the historic decision to close the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, an important contribution by Kazakhstan to global security and nuclear non-proliferation. The film also depicts Kazakhstan’s cooperation with the United Nations and its involvement in addressing current issues of international politics, security and sustainable development.
